Yesterday was a day filled with practice. Seven of ’em and they were all strong. These individuals, teams, and leaders are BBTL. Love that I get to be a small part of it. So fun to watch people shedding outdated identities and becoming who they are. So damn hard and so satisfying.
Yesterday was practice ONE.08 with a womens LAX team. We wrote about our greatest leadership challenged – leading self. True for all of us, friends. Leadership is influence and the hardest person to influence is ourselves. So, this team of 41 strong wrote where they want to persist and resist. Was some freakin’ magic as these young women spoke truth and absorbed truth from me all while getting curious with each other. You could feel trust being built in the room. These moments are like gold to me.
Your team is defined by the depths they’re willing to go to be their best. Cliche but hard as hell. This team is beginning to believe, simple as that. We’re just getting started. Trust, you see, takes for freakin’ ever to build. Funny, it’s lost in the blink of an eye. You beginning to see why trust is the ❤️ of performance and why it’s so damn fragile, friend? Slow down. Reflect. Where do you need to exercise patience? Where do you need to speak hard truth? Tough and tender, you know. Practice, I believe, is a trust builder. You?
