Yesterday, we celebrated Thanksgiving as a team of eight. Cammylammydingdong, Nattyjane, Sistersue, joined Miss, Krit, Josh, Tay, and me. Miss made everything but the appetizer and cranberries. She worked herself to the bone putting together a feast for all to remember and enjoy. We sat in the seldomly used dining room, where I oftentimes read and write but rarely dine. We only use the “dining room” on special occasions – namely Thanksgiving and Christmas. The rest of the year it just looks pretty, really pretty.
Last evening, as we put a bow on our dinner time, I reminded everyone the chair I was sitting in really wasn’t mine. You see, the head of the table (nearest the window) was always Nickies chair. He sat and shared wisdom and Nickie stories I’ll never forget. So I shared a bit about him, mostly to remind me but maybe one or two others. You see, friends, you’re leaving a legacy whether you are aware of it or not. You are transmitting something to the next generation. We all are. Transmit love. Transmit love. The world, friends, doesn’t need more negativity out of you or me.
The world desperately needs more love.
Live hard. Love harder. Thanks for the example, Nickies…
