One of the foundational principles of BTL is around learning. I believe, we Builders, are called to study, learn, and apply. A lifelong commitment toward mastering the art of living while accepting I’ll never, ever arrive – a perpetual work in process. Damn.
I also believe The Bible is God’s inspired word designed to guide us toward living according to our designer. This is the definitive – Simple, not easy. When trying to make sense of all this it helps to find the melody line, first. So what is that? Matthew 22: 35-40. CCD version – Love God. Love people.
God, help me use my limited understanding of everything to study myself, see my need for you, stop comparing myself (inaccurately) to others, and learn to love others as you love me. God, help me learn to know you, know myself, and know others as you do. And, God, help me accept my limitations to know anything. God, help me keep learning especially when it comes to loving. God, help me.
