Everydayness is the lynchpin to excellence. There are no hacks or shortcuts. If, friend, your aim is excellence, you are signing up for a relentless race against yourself. You cannot stop and must make peace with never arriving. The aim toward excellence is learning our primary aim is not out there but in here. Your greatest leadership challenge is not with your team in work or life – it’s within.
Here’s hard truth about humanity. All humans come into the world self centered and other controlling. The majority never mature. What defines a mature human? Simple, at least to my way of thinking. Mature humans are CORE centered and self controlling. The ancients would say they’ve built a better nature, a second (more virtuous) one. What, leader, defines your everyday? More work within or more work manipulating others? Slow down, reflect. Maybe it’s time you committed to everydayness within you.
Live hard. Love ❤️ harder…
