Faithfully…

Faith, I believe, is well described as the courage to keep becoming (believing a better you is within you) instead of running away or stopping short of ones God given destiny. Most of us choose to stay small and lose hope in the proverbial belly of the beast. Life is hard and filled with horrors that crush many hopeful starts. God calls us to pick up our damn cross and follow Him. God calls us to finish what He started within us. Simple, not easy. 

The easier road is down. We can coast, at least for a long while. Takes little to no effort. Climbing costs. The endless ascent is hard opus. Faith is required. God, give me the endurance to keep climbing Jacob’s ladder. God, help me. 

You can choose what is easy now and life will get hard. You can choose what is hard now and life will get easier. Pain is inevitable, misery is a choice. Don’t believe me. Study history, your own and go as far back as you like. Stop numbing and distracting. Start seeking and you, friend, will be found. What, friend, do you believe. Have you chosen the endless ascent or the much more popular and more comfortable descent? You choose. Your choices have consequences. Wrestle with it. Faithfully.
