If your aim is mastering the art of living you will inevitably let a LOT of folks down. You see masters are relentlessly focused on their craft (there is no other way). Time in isolation is part of the gig. Training. Studying. Reading. Writing. Reflecting. These all take copious amounts of time. Feeding the soul. Being with your few. Nurturing family, friends, and clients – time consuming. Masters cheat ’em all. The key?
Let ’em down easy.
Cheat all the way ’round. Let your yes mean yes and your no mean no (Thanks, Jesus). Simple, not easy. You cannot be all things to all people all the time. Masters are all in and 100% out. This is what makes them a BADass. Normal humans are half in half out. Noncommital. Never give their full heart to anyone or anything. This protects them from acute pain, at least for now. This is what I call a dumbASS in the making. Don’t be a dumbASS.
Master your craft. Be with your few. Pour yourself passionately into all your purposes. Cheat proportionately. When you do. Let ’em down easy. BADass. Damn.
