Last night we celebrated the new lives of Daisy, Kaden, and Vivi. Lots of family congregated at our home and put our feet under Missi’s table (as my mom likes to say). It was a great evening of celebrating new life. Made memories. Shared stories. Lots of laughs. Reminisced about those no longer here, but far from forgotten.
Today, this home will be down to just me. Everyone is returning to their homes. Miss is on the move to KC to help with Vivi. This place will feel very different. I’ll rely on my minds eye to keep perspective. I will see these loved ones again, I’ll tell myself. I have faith I’ll see those we can no longer see too. What friend, do you believe? Slow down. Reflect.
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
