The word sophomore comes from two Greek words. The word – Sophos – translates to wise. And the Greek word Moros – translates to moron.
Wise moron. Paradox, huh…
As we mature, hopefully, we increase sophos and decrease moros. This does not happen with age alone. Wisdom is not guaranteed with time. In fact, the wisest are oftentimes young people with old souls. Lots of leaders are still “sophomoric” at my age.
Old moron.
Remember, if you want to gain wisdom, show up with an attitude of learning, curiosity, power under control, and embody truth in Love. Graduate from your sophomore years. You’ve been reminded.
Live hard. Love harder…
