Thank you for the books!

Leader Formation by Dr. Bill Lawrence has a special place in my head and heart. It has been as important as any book, except the Bible in my path to discipleship. It has had the same impact on my discipleship as Gates of Fire had on my path to warriorship.

Here is my number one leadership belief and it is bolted the hell on: The heart of leadership is the heart of the leader. Thank you, Bill Lawrence.

Think about that.

Lord, thank you that You are the Master Builder and that you have sent others to build into me and I, in turn, build into others. Thank you for this crazy band of builders, especially ‘the two of the few’ JohnR and KittyA who continue to build into me in both a tough and tender way. Thank you for the wilderness as the light is so much brighter after being in darkness. Amen.

Kitty, keep modeling the way…I have watched for a long time now. Your walk is not motivational. It is inspirational – – – not “just” for me but many. Keep looking UP…LET US, keep moving – – – TOGETHER.

Maybe someone who reads this blog will say…”Hmmmmm. Maybe I should read that book?”.
