Got through 20 chapters of Theo yesterday. The early theme was the power of being interested, sincerely interested in the world you occupy and the people around you. After 20 chapters that theme holds with some nuance. Theo, while a newbie to the town of Golden, is building community. He’s creating community, not waiting for community to come to him. He’s following one timeless principle. Quoting Acts 20:35 “It’s more blessed to give than to receive.”
Theo is giving more. He’s giving his time, talent, and treasures. Of course Golden is feeling, well, rather golden to him. Jesus was right. Give more, friend. Be more go giver than go getter. Damn.
