The Joyous Rebirth…

February 9th, Krit gave birth to Vivienne James. Her doula (Greek for female servant), is Callie Green. She was with Krit and Josh pre-birth for consultation, caring, and comforting support. She was their rock throughout the birthing process and ensured Krit was able to deliver Vivi without pain meds or complications. Callie lives up to her name (Greek for beautiful). She exudes a beautiful spirit throughout her being. Cannot miss it…

Today, exactly two weeks after Vivi was born, Callie made a house call on Josh, Krit, and Vivi. I greeted her at the door and immediately felt her caring spirit. As she spoke with Krit about her “rebirth” I could tell she wasn’t simply doing a job as a doula. The Joyous Rebirth (her company name), is Avodah (work as worship) to her. I knew it but had to confirm it, you know. So, after watching her interact lovingly with the new parents I couldn’t help myself. I asked her why she does what she does. Without so much as a pause to reflect, she exclaimed with raw conviction – “I felt God calling me to this after the birth of my children.” She didn’t need to say more.

The Joyous Rebirth is more than her company name, it’s what she believes is the reality for every new mother. You see, women, carry themselves one way prior to giving birth, quite another once they’ve seen life born from within. They now know the joy of carrying life and experience rebirth us men cannot comprehend – only appreciate. As Callie comforted my daughter, I could feel emotion building within me. I was overcome with a sense of joy myself. Seeing someone give all of themselves to someone you love, moves you. I felt it. My heart overflowed with a sense of awe and gratitude.

Thank you, Callie, for your caring spirit. God bless you in your Avodah. And, friend, if you live in KC and are expecting or know someone who is, experience the gift of “The Joyous Rebirth.” Give Callie a call. You’ll experience the care of someone called. Nothing compares. Fact. Together we transform. Always together.

Live hard. Love ❤️ harder. Beautiful…
