Here’s hard truth. Don’t buy the bullshit around your identity NOT being in your performance. Your identity is most definitely tied to your performance. If you identify as a master builder and your performance is novice at best, you have a misplaced identity.

Your identity is NOT how others perceive your performance. That is your reputation. Cannot control rep. Can control character. Focus on the names you call yourself – identity. If you identify as a great dad make sure your behaviors align. Your reputation with your children and neighbors is out of your control. This is why CORE work never ends. Your character is constantly being engraved on your heart. Focus here.
