Love to buy…

Humans distrust salespeople. Always have. Always will. Why?

We hate being sold. Flip the coin?

We love to buy.

We love buying exactly what we want. Great salespeople don’t sell shit. They give their customers the unique chance to buy exactly what their heart desires. Next time you (think) you need to sell something to a teammate, boss, board member, athlete, or anyone for that matter, remember this truth. It’s got nothing to do with what you (think) you’re selling.

Instead, help them. Help them buy what they want. Sometimes it will mean “losing the sale.” Good. You just might be becoming a master in the art of selling. Damn.

Live hard. Love ❤️ harder…

  1. Great salespeople are active listeners, they listen so hard they sweat. They seek to understand through intelligent questions. These questions are not self serving. They diagnose, then provide a solution. They rehearse that first question based on preparation. They know the wrong question will bring failure. They know the right question will give them the opportunity to ask another question.

In the movie, Wall Street, does provide us with a glimpse of what potential clients think. Gordon Gecko, played by Michael Douglas, states to Charlie Sheen’s character…these words: ‘Hey kid, tell me something I don’t know” .

It’s that simple. By bringing clients value, we offer them something they ‘don’t know’… One great question, to the Right Person, at the Right Time, and for the Right Reasons. It’s not about you, it’s about them. And when the deal is done, should that happen. Trust is established. Trust has been earned, then the Great Ones cherish that Trust and build on it.
