Just finished practice one of seven today. Reminded a strong leader of a fundamental aspect of leadership. Had to take a moment and remind you, reader. Every leader wants to find more community. They want more community at work, home, church, city, and in their neighborhood. Here’s the key.
STOP looking for it. Create it.
Leaders are primarily on the hook for two things. Crafting the vision and connecting the world to it. Daily. Creating the culture. Building it daily, weekly, monthly, through small acts that bring us together. FIO, leader. Never STOP building deeper and wider community everywhere you hang your hat. Damn.
