The fires of competition and performance provide opportunities for a lot of lessons. A big one is learning to harness your nerves before a big game or big moment. Learning to feel them rather than fight them, interpret and-reinterpret them, and ultimately harness them for performance.
Slow down and be present with those nerves. What are you feeling? Butterflies? Sweaty palms? Stop trying to fight it or force it away. Feel it. What’s happening? The truth is your body is gearing up for something it cares about. How you choose to interpret that, the story you tell yourself, makes all the difference in the world. If you interpret it as your body saying this is too much, it will be. If you interpret it as your body preparing for performance…game changer.
The fires of competition via sports taught me to embrace the butterflies. They meant it was go time and were a sign that my body cared enough to bring the juice. How will you interpret your nerves, your butterflies? How will you harness it for performance? Giddy up.

So good…yes, yes and yes…SEE the FEELing for what it IS.
Use it. Do NOT be afraid of it.
I love this … “it’s your body and brain telling you that it cares” …
Pregame “jitters”? BS…You are getting ready to perform.
FEEL IT.
