Did you know that London has thirteen professional football clubs. Yes, that’s correct, the number is thirteen. Who cares, right? Most of my clients couldn’t care less about real football. All they want to know is who is going to win the real football game…THE SUPER BOWL. Now there is a REAL joke. All of us in America know that the SUPER BOWL has already been won. It doesn’t matter who actually wins the game does it?
These games are about competition, right?
Did you know that American baseball, football, basketball, and hockey leagues are EXEMPT from the very laws of competition that you and your teams HAVE to live with. It’s true. This country club membership approach to sports is a uniquely American thing. The leagues decide who gets in and who gets out. They decide what cities get a team. Do NOT expect one soon in L.A. Why? Having L.A. empty is the best way to ensure that the local tax payers will suck it up and pay.
Does this system sound like it belongs in the U.S.of A.?
This system SUCKS.
Europe and other parts of the world are miles ahead in the sports world imho. This is WHY London enjoys 13 competitive clubs while L.A. lives with NONE. Britain operates their football leagues like you would expect…like a free market. Prices are lower and teams are more abundant. Ironically, L.A. does have a soccer club with one of London’s finest yet they can’t field a football team.
Isn’t it funny that the most watched “game,” has already been WON. So tune in next weekend not for the drama on the field, not for the spirit of competition, but to see the only mystery that remains. You know what I’m talking about. Watch the new commercials. That is exactly what that game is.
