Merry Christmas everybody.
Today, we celebrated Jesus’ birth by exchanging some gifts and enjoying Krits bunt cake, my eggies, Miss’ tiropita, and Annies & Keturah’s greek style lamb, beans, and garlic mashed. Soon, we’ll top it off with some Miss cherry pie.
I am full in the entire sense of the word. Our family is here and hanging out. Jordan put together Taylor’s new video set up. Andrew helped him figure out his new nitro car. Keturah looks beautiful in her new necklace. Krit, the same with her new bracelet. Mitt has been chillin but not cause she wants to. She has been feverish, chilled, and hurting in her chest. And, she has been with us in spite of her discomfort. The Greek/Comanche simply keeps going.
God, I love that about her.
You cannot keep her from her kids. Somehow, someway, she simply shows up and models the way. She coached us through the entire dinner preperation while flat on her back and hurting. Thank you, God, for such a strong Greek/Comanche beside me.
Today, I got the gift I had always wanted; an empty cross to remind me of my savior.
Today my son, Tay, wrote me a note that I’ll carry with me for as long as I’m breathing. Today, Nick called me and left me speechless with his kind, affectionate words of repair. Today, Christmas broke into our address and seared me like I was a kid again. Today, I am full in the entire sense of the word.
May God’s blessings invade your home and leave you seared, grateful, and smiling. God bless you, my friend. God bless Y.O.U.
Merry Christmas everybody…
