My job version 2.0…

My job is simple. I’m not measured on how much I know or how brilliantly I perform in practice. In the end, neither matter. My work is measured by one thing and I cannot control it. Here it is. Do not miss this. This could be huge for you too. My work is measured by what my clients learn. My work is measured by what my clients put into action from their learning. And, at my best, my client doesn’t recall learning it from me. Remember, we act most consistently upon our own ideas.

Your job, if you’re a leader, is to make your teen, teammate, and top dog, perform better. And, at the end of the day, think they got better without your helping hand. Your job, leader, is simple, not easy. Want a better team? Become a better leader. Keep learning. Keep teaching. Keep finding new ways to remind your team. Keep reaching. Keep modeling the way, embracing pain and suffering, and embodying truth in love. Keep loving your work and loving your team.

The leader has to go first. Good…
