…is BTL’s worldview about the real, authentic you. What you believe about you matters.
Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right — Henry Ford
If you don’t believe you are freakin’ magic in the making, you have an identity-crisis, the root of which is a worldview-crisis.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” —Marianne Williamson
Your identity is complex and simple. Like your fingerprint, there is only one of you. Your identity is distinct (parents with multiple children — even identical twins — know how true this is). Your personality, eccentricities, gifts, strengths, yearnings, physique, and mental hardwiring are all unique.
Identity is complex and simple — but not easy. To be nothing less and nothing more than we were created to be requires being continually awakened, challenged and transformed from a lone towards all ONE – one ‘L of a difference. And it means embracing orange barrels — we’re all a work in progress.
What do you believe about you, friend? Who’s building you? Do you believe you’re freakin’ magic in the making, or a freakin’ mistake who’s just a’ faking? Have you settled for the cop out — “that’s just who I am” — or are you allowing the crucible to mold you into who you really are?
Embrace it. Live it. Love it (Thanks, Toto)…
