Today, in practice ONE.62, we practiced 7 good minutes. Captain Kampbell set the pairs. Kate modeled the way by adapting without me initiating. Doc shared some freakin’ magic. Audrey was believable. Sky was, well, beyond the limit. Mandy made it all make perfect sense. Rudy put the perfect bow on it. I did, well, next to nothing.
Today I practiced what we preach at BTL. I got out of the way. Let leaders learn to lead. Simple, not easy. Your job, leader, is to stop owning tension, other than your own. You won’t get a team of problem solvers if you continue to solve the problems. Learn. Listen. Lead. The middle one is the damn hard one for most. 7 good ones are mostly about learning to listen, leader. Slow down. Reflect. Practice listening. You may be surprised how many Rudy’s there really are. Damn.
Live hard. Love ❤️ harder…
