Reflecting this past week on a failed engagement. Went seeking feedback I could use from a truth teller who was there. Instead of getting feedback and clarity around what went wrong, I got truth I needed to hear.
Dude told me it was NOT a fail. He shared the impact BTL had on him and others. Told me real stories to illustrate his point. Had “shoot in his eyes.” Changed my perspective in the best of ways. We’re all wired to overly fixate on the negatives, me included. This feedback changed my mind. Filled my heart. Set me free. Truth.
Maybe, friend, your perspective needs widening. Maybe the feedback you’re afraid of, just might be the key to setting you free. John 8:32. Amen.
