Ever wonder why publishers put together books and don’t fill each page with words from edge to edge. I mean it’s kinda inefficient to leave a margin on both the inside and outside of each page. The why behind this is kinda insightful…
The reason books are built with margins is because reading is less tiring to your eyes when you see some blank space on each page.
Think of your life like a book. Are you cramming as much as you can into each day? Are you choosing to create margin into each day? Remember, life is an energy management problem. Humans make their biggest mistakes not when you think.
Humans make their biggest mistakes when they are tired.
Nothing makes you more tired then trying to make decisions, especially ones that make you think. This is why your worldview matters. The clearer you are on your deeply held beliefs the easier it is to align behaviors. Your brain doesn’t even have to think. Your brain doesn’t suffer from decision fatigue – it simply decides. Your brain loves operating like this. This creates margin.
Think of your life like a book and remember you are self published. You don’t answer to some crazy editor. You don’t have to do what other authors are doing. You don’t have to do what your customers want. You are free to self publish. Write your story. Make it a good one. And, for what it’s worth, one of my deeply held beliefs is that I play for an audience of ONE.
God, thanks for helping me gain clarity within. God, thanks for doing all the heavy lifting. God, thanks for accepting my efforts all grammatically as messed up as me.
I’ll leave some room in the margins too…

Thanks for the reminder.
