Humans have a hard time changing. You know this. You have many habits you want to change and can’t seem to make it happen. The reasons are plentiful but the roots revolve around a lack of clarity around why. This is why we help our clients achieve clarity through the authoring of OPUS. OPUS brings clarity to where they’re going, why they’re going, how they’re gonna get there, and how they’ll measure progress along the way. However, our clients still struggle. It’s still hard to leave the comfort and convenience of the Shire – the routine…
The hardest part is believing.
The hardest part is believing you can change. The longer you stay married to your laborious routine, the harder it is to change. The hard part is believing this opus is really gonna be possible. The hard part is believing you can really pull this off and live your work the way you want. The hard part is believing you can change your habits and the results will be even better. The hard part is always in believing. Leaders are believers, remember. You gotta really believe, I mean really believe, if you’re gonna deeply change behaviors and live out your labor of love – your OPUS.
You gotta believe your OPUS to change the routine of your labor. This is the only way to change your life. You gotta believe. Then you gotta ACT on your new clarity. This is the hardest part. The enemy is your fear. Will it work? What will others think? Will I look silly? What if the results aren’t what I want? What if I die? This is why the road toward OPUS is never crowded. Loads of folks get the ring. Only Frodo and the few, however, leave the Shire. Don’t be one of the many who get the ring and languish and labor in the Shire.
You gotta believe. Do you?

A little bit more than I did yesterday.
Great post.
