You can be clear, concise, and direct without being directive. You can break through sound barriers on your team but not while silently sulking. Things are shakiest not right before they break apart, but just before they break through. These were a few learnings available in practice 49 yesterday.
A team culture of “play nice together” broke through to the other side yesterday led by a someone moody and very much a man. This practice was real and raw. We talked about stuff most teams never surface. We are just scratching the surface. All teams are limited by the conversations they’re willing to have. The cat hasn’t got your tongue, teammate. What are you burying under the proverbial rug, friend? What sound barriers are you willing to break?
Talk. Live hard. Love harder…
