Today’s focus in Pericles is to not be surprised by sabotage. From ancient Greek history to now there will rarely, if ever, be 100 percent consensus. There will always be a degree of conflict around the best decision for our future. Despite this, leaders believe and are convicted in their vision for the future.
My AND: Do you have the conviction in your decision on how to move forward? The melody line of BTL is to get clarity on what you believe and why. Do you have so much conviction for the direction of the company, and why this matters, that the team is fully committed? Leaders are believers. Commit to what you believe in, and have a well thought out why. Sabotage is inevitable, but if you are deeply committed then you will attract the few that matter most.
