Day 346…Relationships

Day 6 is my favorite day in the BBTL book.

Day 346 is the most meaningful one for me.

The relationships that you experience are the epicenter of life.

They are why God created us.

Relationships are one of the only means you have to experience life. Think about it. Contemplate what this means. Your relationships will define much of who you are and what you believe in. You cannot hide from the facts of the relationships that you have either nurtured or let wither. You cannot be whole until it becomes second nature to follow the golden rule.

“Love thy neighbor as thyself.”

Sit with that for a time.

“Relationships are the essence of life” – thank you Chet for these blessed words. Help us all to inculcate and learn these words for they are worthy of our greatest attention.

Your relationships will ultimately define your life.

Did you build them or break them?

Thank you, Lord, for all the relationships in my life. I will do all I can to love, recognize and repair. Help me.

  1. Love thy neighbor as thy self…Donald Miller helped me understand the second half of this. I couldn’t highlight that page enough and the margins were too small in his book Blue Like Jazz. Check it out if you haven’t … another builder over there is a big fan as well. Thx for all these great thoughts, Jim.

  2. Brother Jeff…I am two-thirds of the way through “Blue Like Jazz”…in my first sitting. I love this book and it hits a deep chord that is both beautiful and meaningful. Thank you for this great recommendation…and your support…I have to always remember to look UP.

    1. Jim, it is my pleasure! Thanks for sharing all the wisdom you have shared this year. I think I will put Blue Like Jazz on my re-read list for 2022…
