Back on September 23, 1984, when calling my dad to tell him he was now a grandpa, he quoted Proverbs 25:25 back to me. He was 840 miles away. Ohio felt like a far country from Kansas.
Today, Miss and I make the trek to a far country – Germany – to see our first grand baby. He was born on March 23, 2022. He was 3778 miles away. Today he’ll be in our arms, Lord willing. I’ll be thinking of you, dad, and the joy will overflow.
