Here’s a great quote from one of my favorite books The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho.
“When you possess great treasures within you, and try to tell others of them, seldom are you believed.”
Do not worry about those turning away or against. Do not expect your treasures to be richly welcomed by those in search of silver and gold. Make your peace and remember this is the gig. Seldom will you be believed. Seldom.
Focus, leader, on becoming more believable. Leaders are believers. Leaders are connectors. Leaders initiate. Are you living your belief system? Are you a conscious and consistent connector? Are you initiating with your few, your teams, your loved ones? You’ve been reminded. Good.
