I’m longing for more.
I’m longing for more peace within my soul, and more peace with all of humanity. I’m longing for more faith, more love, and more grace. I’m longing for God’s spirit to break into this soul and make me whole. I’m longing for less brokenness and battles with myself, much less with all you fine folks.
I’m longing for more, friend. What about you? What are you longing for that you sense has been lost through whatever’s currently wrecking your fragile heart? C.S. Lewis had this to say about longings some seventy years ago – “If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”
Slow down and think for yourself. Slow down and think about your desires and longings. Slow down and think. Good. Psalm 23 is a great reminder, at least for me. God, help me trust you know my longings. God, help me lay down and let you lead me to the green pastures and still waters. God, help me allow you to restore my battered soul. God, help me take my longings to you.
Live hard. Love ❤️ harder…
