I have zero eligibility left. Working with OSU sports teams makes me feel like a kid again. Love the energy. Love the competitive spirit. Love the camaraderie of suffering. Love the intensity. Love the simplicity of the scoreboard – it does not lie. Love the passion. Love the purpose. Love the process. Love the surprises. Love the teamwork.
Today, after one of the dudes scored a sweet goal, I patted him on the shoulder. He turned and told me – “That one was for you.” He knew I’d been going through some stuff this week. Those five words seared my sorriness. Made me want to do wind-sprints right then and there. Yeah, I love working with teams. Love the sense of belonging. Remember, leader, your job is simple – not easy.
