Loosing…

Learning like a banshee and never stopping is foundational. You cannot play like a master without having done the work. You cannot just show up and expect to play loose. You must learn to loosen.

This loosing of self is key to excellence.

When I’m at my best as a Builder is when I’m fully present to the environment. The team or individual I’m practicing with are my only target. Fully prepared. Read over notes. Relaxed. Rid the mind of distractions. Written my practice plan. Rehearsed. Now I’m ready to play loose.

Next step? Sit with them. Read the room. It guides me to a state of flow if I am loose enough.

This is scary at first. Feels out of control. So much easier to show up with a “lesson plan” and cover A-C, then D-E, and hope something sticks. The best work is effortless, yet all consuming. I feel the difference. My client? Maybe. The team? Maybe a few. More than enough to transform.

Preparation. Preparation. Preparation. Now trust it. Play loose, my friend. Loose yourself. Loosing – one “o” of a difference. Damn.

Live hard. Love ❤️ harder…
