Last friday we had another amazing BTL time with the Pastors. The session started with me doing my usual. I always give the team the chance to grab the reins. Today Kary pulled HARD. He laid out his scenerio and asked the “expert” for the answer.
Here’s what he got.
He got a boatload of questions. Johnny started us out. Mike “anded.” John asked a couple more. Joshua listened. Mike chirped in with a couple good ones. I mostly sat there. Doug wasn’t clear, concise, and direct but he got there. Finally I asked Natalie to play too. She brought a great perspective and some more great questions. Kary’s seat started to get hot as our time together took him down the “bunny hole.” John got on a roll and the rest of us mostly watched. Watched and learned.
Kary found some amazing CLARITY. He is going to stop “kicking the dog.” He now understands what it means to taste peace. Maybe, peace with others STARTS with peace within. Very cool.
I learned a ton. I learned, again, never to under estimate the POWER of the question….and that every relationship around here is just two American kids…doing the best they can.
