Leaders, please listen up. I know you are super busy getting all kinds of good shit done. I see it in your darting eyes, nervous twitches, and uneasy posture, so I’ll get right to the point.

It’s not your position, it’s your presence. It’s not your power, it’s your presence. It’s not your perfection, it’s your presence. It’s not your process, it’s your presence. It’s not your professionalism, it’s your presence. It’s not your people, it’s your presence. It’s not your problem solving, it’s your presence. It’s not your pride, it’s your presence. It’s not your playing of the games, it’s your presence.

It’s your presence that sets the tone on your team. What, leader, does your presence bring to your teams? Does your presence bring something different at home? Slow down and sit with this for awhile. Slow down, busy leader. Your presence matters more. Thank you, Jesus, for modeling the way, embracing pain and suffering, and embodying truth in Love. I sense your presence even now.
