Hard labor we disdain as we tire. Hard opus we sustain as we perspire.
Life is hard. Through hard things, hard times, and with hard people, our character is refined and revealed. Do not be afraid of what lies ahead. Embrace it. You are meant to find joy in doing hard things well. You are meant to lift others up when you feel strong and ask others for help when weakened. You are not meant to labor in vain, nor go it a lone. Stop the fear based existence that cripples the mind and instead tune into your unique abilities, gifts, and love to’s as if life depends on your figuring this out – because it does.
Life, remember, is an energy management problem. Hard opus (labor of love) creates energy in, around, and through you. Hard labor (labor of fear) over time, pay raises, and even more time away, drains you. You and I are created in love. It only makes sense then that we learn to love the character of life itself, which is hard. So, friend, are you laboring in vain or laboring toward a worthy aim? Are you going it a lone, or becoming all one? Are you reaching out to give and take care with strength and humility? Slow down and sit with this for awhile. Slow down.
Hard labor we disdain as we tire. Hard opus we sustain as we perspire. Live hard. Love harder (Thanks, Teeks)…
