Speak less. Say more.
Remember James, half bro of Jesus? He didn’t have his “come to Jesus moment” till Christ had come and gone. He missed the main event but led the after party. Read his book and apply his wisdom, leader. Your words matter. Tone, volume, and body language matter more. You need a filter – a virtuous one. The right words don’t often flow unless the CORE is clean and the emotional state is engaged, calm, and cool. Simple, not easy. The higher you rise the more magnitude behind your words. Know this. Understand you can’t buy ‘em back. Filter them so they come out pure and purposeful.
James 3:7-8 “For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is unruly evil, full of deadly poison.”
Your tongue cannot be tamed. Mine either. God, help me speak less, say more. God, help me meditate on your words not so much the words of the powerful, political, or influencers of today. God, help me remember this truth – Garbage in? Garbage out. God, help me filter the content flowing in and out of my system. God, help me filter it through your Word, not the worlds. God, help me be a man of my word. Slow down. Reflect. Your words matter, leader. Maybe it’s time you cleaned your filter. I know it is for me. Rinse and repeat. God, help me. Word.
Live hard. Love harder…
Love to hear you say, “words matter“ I’ve been saying that for a long time for the people that I lied, and also for my son who now works for Bob Wierema, love how you add scripture into your writings, love being a follower, thanks for being you!! Don’t forget, be the reason someone smiles today…
Thanks for making me smile, Jason…
