Yesterday, we walked all over Berlin. Twas a beautiful day. Stunning and sobering as we took in the sights. The bombed out Church in the middle of Berlin was my favorite reminder from WWII.

The woman weeping over her child was built with clay from a variety of battlefields. I wept with her all these years later…

The book burning site was a mind blower. This was the spot where many great Jewish books were burned on May 10, 1933. Censored. Cancelled. So, so sad. Have we learned? Have you?

“Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it,” said Winston Churchill. He was right. What history are you refusing to learn from? What reminders both irritant and novel are you using to not forget? What books and perspectives do you keep burning simply because they’re different than your own? Slow down. Reflect. History. Learn from it, please.
Live hard. Love harder…
