Embrace the fail, friend. Treat more of your attempts as pass/fail and stop tying too much identity to temporal pursuits of pleasure or pain. You are more than your profession, passions, or personal relationships. You are not a mistake and certainly not a failure. Don’t allow yourself or others to identify you as a failure. This would be a mistaken identity. You are a child of God. You are a work in process. You are a beautiful mess. You are created in love and for magnum opus (great work).
Do not lay down. Do not stay down. Fail. Learn. Level up. We mostly fail our way forward. I’m learning to live hard, love harder. I often fail at both. God, help me…
Two books recently solidified this message. Richard Rohr’s Falling Upward and Arthur Brooks’ From Strength to Strength. Check them out. You won’t be disappointed.
Read them both. Excellent…
